The Sr. Electrical / Automation Engineer will be responsible for the implementation of control systems and DCS/PLC programming on Oil & Gas related products & projects. This position will be responsible for system specification, design, architecture, and development. Other responsibilities include developing standards, procedures, training manuals, and other documentation for projects or internal use. The majority of projects will be executed in a cross functional team environment

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
o Performs system specification, design, architecture, and development for Control Systems
o Program Siemens PLCs and Networking and HMI.
o Develop standards, procedures, training manuals, and other documentation for projects or internal use
o Further, performs design and implementation of interfacing to Integrated Drilling Rig Control System (Siemens & other PLC based)
o Responsible for system specification, design, architecture, and development.
o Duties will include generation of PLC Code, Bill of Materials, One-Line Drawings, Wire Lists, Schematics, Operations and Parts Manuals.
o Maintains product safety in all designs
o Performs design prototyping, including field implementation and testing
o Participates in company safety meetings and safety awareness
o Perform basic troubleshooting of communications networks and wiring issues associated with PLCs and computers.
o Follows required regulatory codes
o Prepares and reviews electrical control product documentation
o Other duties maybe assigned.
o Perform various other duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager
o Knowledge of automated and electrical product manufacturing a plus.
o Knowledge of Quality Assurance principles as it relates to manufacturing operation requirements is a plus
o Knowledge of oilfield regulatory requirements a plus.
o Design creativity.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
 Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Control Systems Engineering with 8 – 12 years of controls and automation experience or
equivalent.
 12 plus years of controls and automation experience or with Drilling Systems.
 Ability to read, comprehend and write in English.
 Ability to effectively present technical information, to colleagues, customers and vendors.
 Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
