Job Description

QC Test Technician 
Temp to Hire
$30.00/hr + $2.00 shift differential 
1st and 2nd shift 
6:30am  - 3pm 
3pm - 11:30pm

General Role Description
Visually inspects all units to be tested (pre-power inspection), perform production line acceptance testing using a combination of manual and automated test equipment. With strong troubleshooting techniques, the technician should be able to identify problems during tests and provide solutions.

Role Accountabilities
  1. Perform visual inspections on all product lines.
  2. Perform production line acceptance testing including insulation tests and function tests.
  3. Ability to work from instructions, drawings, and procedures.
  4. Troubleshoot and provide results in a timely fashion (strong troubleshooting skills).
  5. Record test results and complete test reports, paperwork per instructions/procedures.
  6. Report issues found on failed units.
  7. Perform some mechanical assembly.
  8. Must be able to lift 25 lbs. on a regular basis, and occasionally up to 40 lbs.
  9. Ability to handle large gage cables.
  10. Good communication skills and be ableability to function in a team environment with limited supervision.
  11. Excellent people skills to include collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team environment.
  12. Availability to Outstanding work ethics and commitment to organizational success.
  13. Able to follow and comply with Company Safety Standards.
  14. Available to work on an evening shift: 5:30 pm – 2 am, plus overtime.
  15. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  1. 2 - 5 years’ experience in the electric industry.
  2. Two-year technical degree in Applied Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Eequivalent college hours in engineering or comparable industry experience.
  3. Must be able to read and interpret schematics.
  4. Experience in power electronics.
  5. Experience in operating standard test equipment including DMMs, Oscilloscopes, Power Analyzers, Isolation Testers, etc.
  6. Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  7. Must possess basic English communication skills sufficient to understand work instructions, safety protocols, and perform essential job functions
