SUMMARY: In this role we are seeking a highly qualified skilled commercial Sheet Metal Technician to join our team!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform different types of sheet metal welding and metal finishing.
- File and grind surfaces using power tools and hand tools.
- Keeps personal work area organized and clean, returns tools and maintains parts/materials carts in an organized manner.
- Understand and follow all written instructions as per requirements, inspection plans, etc.
- Accurately complete all required documentation at the time of the task in Builder Trend software.
- Visually inspects completed jobs to ensure quality and specifications objectives are met.
- Assumes responsibility and care of all company tools in assigned/dedicated work centers.
- Report to work timely and regularly as scheduled per company’s attendance policy and requirements.
- Recommends process improvements to supervisor or management.
- Understand and comply with company policy, safety guidelines, quality system procedures, and 5S and housekeeping standards
- Experience with aluminum fabrication and/or sheet metal work required.
