1st shift 5am - 1:30pm w/OT as needed
$21-$22/hr
Welder Functions:
- Operate manual and automatic welding and related processing machines and equipment, Machines and equipment included, but are not limited to MIG, TIG, Induction Brazing, plasma cutting, acetylene torch and sand blasting for a wide range of differing materials
- Perform setups, first article layouts, and execution of work according to product specifications, blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
- Inspect all materials, components, etc. to assure they meet the accepted quality standards
- Participate in Lean events with active involvement in CI initiatives
- Safe operation of tools and machinery while performing daily tasks
- Report unsafe acts or conditions to supervision immediately as noticed
- Report safety or quality concern(s) to a supervisor, engineer, manager, HSE or Quality representative and may take immediate actions to shut down production
- Ensures accurate movement of inventory through their assigned area – transactions, production reporting, resolution of negatives, etc.
- Complete required inspection documentation, marking of heat numbers and hold tags
- Must employ ERP system to navigate and execute tasks to complete work orders, WIP transactions, material workbench, supply demand, material requirements
- Perform daily maintenance check sheet
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 1 year of related welding experience
- Qualified to operate some welding equipment alone
- Able to meet expectations for quality and productivity for work
- Can handle some setups and all documentation alone
- Able to work with little supervision
- Must be able to operate assembly and measuring tools properly and safely
- Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Requires ability to read, speak and write in English, follow verbal and written instruction.
- Must be able to read and interpret schematics and Bills of Material (BOM).
- Must be able to use hand tools, power tools and measuring devices such as height gauges, calipers, levels, and scales
