Wire Technician

Pay Rate: $19.00 - $24.00 / Hourly DOE
Location: 77066 Area (Willowbrook area)
Temp to Hire
The Wiring Technician will drill holes to run new wires, install low-voltage wiring through new constructions, assemble and install control panels and switches, and test all systems to ensure safe and full functionality.
Job Duties:
- Layout, measure, drill, and tap subpanels for initial assembly preparation
- Install din rail, equipment, SEL relays, Lock Out Relays, test switches, terminal blocks, nameplates, and wire duct
- Cut, tag, and run wire in specification to project drawings
- Mount, bend, and run conduit to and from power panels, handy boxes, and equipment inside of modified containers and remote instrument enclosures
- Alter and cut steel, plastic, or other various types of materials
- Ensure project quality within specification
- Perform additional duties as needed to ensure project schedule and timeline are met
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Two or more years of experience as a wiring technician required
- High levels of organizational and time management skills required
- High levels of analytical, observational, and active listening skills required
- High levels of reliability required
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal required
- US work authorization without sponsorship required
- Ability to pass physical, drug, driving, and background check required
- Ability to physically push, pull, and lift 50lbs or more required
- Ability to stoop and bend required
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for four plus hours at a time required
- Excellent manual dexterity required
- Excellent color vision and eyesight required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two or more years of experience in NEC and UL codes preferred
